Terms of service.

1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using beta.lebanon-rental.com and our related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. These terms apply to guests (people browsing or booking), owners (people listing a property), and visitors.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. By using the Service you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you'll keep it up to date.

3. We are a marketplace

Lebanon Rental connects guests with owners and helps coordinate stays through our concierge team. We are notthe owner, operator, or manager of any property and are not a party to the rental agreement between a guest and an owner. The owner is responsible for their property's condition, legality, accuracy, pricing, and availability. We review owners before publishing a listing, but the stay itself is between you and the owner.

4. Booking & payment

We help line up places that fit your brief and coordinate the booking. You pay the owner directly through the channel you agree on (for example bank transfer, OMT, Western Union, or cash). We do not process card payments or store payment-card details. The nightly price shown is the price you pay — we charge guests no service fee. Any cleaning, heating, or similar charges are set by the owner and shown before you commit. Refunds and changes follow the Cancellation Policy.

5. Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and devices secure. Tell us at support@lebanon-rental.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

6. Identity verification

To keep the marketplace safe we may ask guests and owners to verify their identity, including by uploading a government ID. You agree that the documents you provide are genuine and belong to you. We handle them as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

• No fake bookings, scraping, or automated submissions.
• No discrimination — we do not tolerate listings or conduct that exclude people based on race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability.
• No illegal use of any property; follow Lebanese law and the owner's house rules.
• No misrepresentation — owners must list accurately; guests must be who they say they are.
• No attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

8. Owner obligations

By listing a property you confirm that: you have the legal right to rent it; your photos, description, address, and pricing are accurate; you will honour confirmed bookings; and you will provide receipts on request. You grant Lebanon Rental a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the content and photos you submit for the purpose of marketing your listing. We may remove a listing that violates these terms or our quality standards.

9. Content & reviews

You keep ownership of content you submit (reviews, messages, photos) and grant us a licence to host and display it within the Service. Reviews must be honest and based on a real experience. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or violates these terms.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (such as Google/Firebase, Vercel, Resend, OpenAI, Google Maps, and WhatsApp). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services we don't control.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep listings accurate and the site running, but we don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every property will be exactly as described. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Lebanese law, Lebanon Rental is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any owner or guest. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for guests, is typically zero) or USD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Lebanon Rental against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll post a notice on the site and update the "Last updated" date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. The competent courts of Beirut have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
